为体验国外教学风格，提升英语交流能力，拓展国际视野，为今后出国留学奠定扎实的基础，培养具有较强国际交往能力、通晓国际规则的“研究型人才”，服务学校“双一流”建设，电气工程学院拟于2019年7月21日至8月3日（出入境时间）选派我校电气工程学院学生赴英国诺丁汉大学参加夏令营学习交流活动。现将有关事项通知如下：

The summer school programme offers two cutting-edge topics:

Week 1 – Advanced Computing

Week 2 – Robotics and Dynamics

Advanced Computing

Advanced Computing requires a strong understanding of the Database. The course begins with an introduction to databases and moves on to BIG data answering the critical questions of why BIG data? What is BIG data? How do we process BIG data? How do we implement BIG data? HADOOP implementation and tutorials will provide a comprehensive and practical understanding of BIG data.

Assessment:

At the end of week 1, there will be an assessment consisting of a multiple choice online exam (50% of marks) and a BIG data coding assignment (50% of marks).

Robotics and Dynamics

Advanced manufacturing, especially in the automotive industry, gave robotics a kick start and have highlighted the importance of automation. The module will introduce what robots are, why we need them and the motion control methods and different types of configuration required. It will move to more complex analysis of robot motion and direct kinematics. Finally, you will look at modelling a robot arm in Matlab.

Assessment:

At the end of week 2, there will be an assessment consisting of a multiple choice online exam (50% of marks) and a Matlab assignment on the implementation of Direct Kinematics (50% of marks).

Cultural excursions

Nottingham City Tour

See the historic landmarks with a guided tour of the lace market, castle and caves.

National Justice Museum

Visit Nottingham’s oldest court and prison where public executions were conducted.

Cambridge

Visit the world-famous university, King’s College Chapel and river punting. Explore the city’s museums, art galleries and shops.

All trips subject to availability and may vary.

Costs and accommodation

The cost per student is £2000 which includes a single study room in University catered halls of residence (with a shared bathroom between 5 people) and breakfast and evening meal. Costs do not include travel between your home country and the UK, visa fees, domestic travel and personal expenditure during the programme.

选派对象与条件：

一、选派对象

重庆大学电气工程学院在读本科生及研究生。

二、选派人数

10名。

三、报名条件

1. 坚持国家的大政方针，品德优良；组织纪律性强，服从学院统一安排；

2. 学生身心健康，具有经济负担能力，自愿申请并征得家长同意；派出前学生及家长应签署海外学习承诺书并购买海外保险；

3. 学习成绩良好，具有英语沟通能力和较强的生活自理能力，具有团队合作精神；

4. 能圆满完成国（境）外学习任务，并于夏令营结束后提交总结报告；

5. 已持有护照报名学生同等条件优先，并且护照有效期在2019年12月31日以后。若无护照，请见通知自行启动办理（最晚要求4月15日前取得护照）。

四、选拔流程

1. 采取“个人申请，学院组织选拔”的方式进行选拔，选拔应遵循“公正、公平、公开”的原则；

2. 申请人员在2019年3月29日前向学院教务办公室(A区六教317学生办公室，虎溪校区可在虎溪校区但需提前联系65103014)提交相应纸质的申请材料，并同时发送电子版（邮箱：dianqiwaishi@163.com，邮件主题：2019英国诺丁汉大学夏令营报名）。报名材料包括：

a)身份证复印件

b)成绩单

c)获奖证书复印件（本科阶段）

d)电气学生国（境）外交换学习申请表

3. 学院根据成绩、外语水平综合选出学生名单。

附：如有意愿参加的同学，可尽快将“姓名-学号-联系方式”提前发送至邮箱，其它电子及纸质版材料可随后按报名流程提交。

五、费用估算

1. 学费及食宿：2000镑/学生，包括大学提供住宿的单人宿舍（5人共用浴室）及早餐和晚餐。折合人民币：约18000元/学生。

2. 往返国际机票，预计约合人民币11000元/人（含保险）。

3. 其他费用：签证费、生活消费等。

六、派出学生的资助、培养与管理

1. 入选者将获得学校及学院相应的资助 (具体资助金额按照学校及学院资助办法执行)；

2. 派出学生在英国学习期间，应遵守当地法律及诺丁汉大学的校纪、校规，并应服从校方安排，在其提供的大学宿舍住宿；

3. 派出学生在完成交流学习任务后，应按学校要求时间返校报到，并提交学习报告。

七、报名流程

1. 报名时间：即日起至2019年3月29日17:00，逾期未报名者视为放弃。

2. 报名要求：申请学生在报名时间内向电气工程学院递交报名材料，报名分两步完成，第一步为提交电子报名材料，第二步为递交纸质报名材料（需签字、盖章），两步均完成后报名生效。

（1）电子报名材料（尽快提交）：《重庆大学电气工程学院英国诺丁汉大学夏令营申请表》（见附件1）电子表格发送至邮箱dianqiwaishi@163.com（邮件标题标注“2019英国诺丁汉大学夏令营”+“姓名”，电子表格可以只填个人信息，不用本人及学院签字、盖章）；

（2）纸质报名材料（一式三份）：《重庆大学电气工程学院英国诺丁汉大学夏令营申请表》、students’ information、学生证信息页复印件（包含照片页）、身份证复印件、护照复印件、成绩单（纸质报名材料需签字、盖章，请按照上文材料顺序装订三份）提交至电气工程学院研究生办公室杨老师（023-65103014）。
