Chongqing University Zhejiang Alumni Association Electrical Division Successfully Holds First Council Meeting of 2025

On January 8, 2025, the Electrical Division of Chongqing University Zhejiang Alumni Association held its first council meeting of 2025 in Hangzhou. The meeting was chaired by Executive President Dong Jianyang, with council members Zhao Guangjing, Xu Jincai, Wang Yong, He Wenhui, Wu Xianbo, Zheng Hailei, Gui Jia'e, Xu Qian, Zhou Chaoyang, Dong Dawei, Liang Jiaming, Liu Liwei, and others in attendance. Wu Jia, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Electrical Engineering, also attended the meeting. The venue was provided by alumni enterprise Zhejiang Jincheng Engineering Cost Consulting Co., Ltd.

Wu Jia extended warm congratulations on behalf of the School of Electrical Engineering for the convening of the first council meeting and reported on the school's work summary for 2024. He detailed the excellent achievements made by the school over the past year in discipline construction, talent cultivation, faculty development, scientific research, international cooperation, and cultural heritage, showcasing the positive development trend of the school in the field of electrical engineering. Wu Jia expressed that all alumni are welcome to stay connected with their alma mater, seek support from it, and contribute to its development at any time.


The meeting discussed ideas and collaborative progress for promoting the establishment of Chongqing University Digital Energy and Green Building Laboratory in Hangzhou, aimed at fostering deeper cooperation between alumni and their alma mater in the fields of new energy and green building. Alumnus Zhao Guangjing, drawing on his profound understanding of the industry and comprehensive assessment of university-local-enterprise cooperation trends, offered constructive suggestions for the laboratory, advocating for the alumni association to further strengthen cooperation with the alma mater and promote the implementation of the laboratory construction. Alumnus Xu Jincai provided valuable experience and suggestions for the laboratory construction based on his practical work experience. Attendees discussed the organizational structure of the Electrical Division and proposed amendments to its charter to further improve the division's operational mechanism. The meeting also discussed the work plan for the Electrical Division in 2025 and formulated budget and fundraising proposals. The meeting unanimously elected alumnus Zhao Guangjing as President of the Electrical Division. Alumnus Zhao Guangjing will lead fellow alumni in establishing a foundation for the division's development, seeking more opportunities for alumni to exchange with their alma mater, and creating a platform for cooperation and exchange among alumni. The meeting clarified the number and budget requirements for the division's basic activities in 2025, with the establishment and construction of the laboratory as the main theme for exchanges among the school, the division, and alumni.


After the meeting, attendees took a group photo and had a dinner together. The successful convening of this council meeting laid a solid foundation for the development of the Electrical Division of Chongqing University Zhejiang Alumni Association. The division will continue to promote cooperation among alumni, their alma mater, enterprises, and the government, contributing to technological innovation and industry development in the field of electrical engineering.

The Electrical Division of Chongqing University Zhejiang Alumni Association is a non-profit organization voluntarily formed by alumni and alumni enterprises who studied or worked in electrical-related majors at Chongqing University and are currently residing or working in Zhejiang, as well as alumni and alumni enterprises engaged in electrical-related industries in Zhejiang. It is affiliated with the Chongqing University Zhejiang Alumni Association. Based on the principles of "enhancing friendship, harmonious inclusiveness, sincere unity, genuine interaction, selfless dedication, and efficient pragmatism," the Electrical Division is committed to providing a communication platform for alumni in Zhejiang, strengthening connections and cooperation between alumni and their alma mater and among alumni themselves with the support of the School of Electrical Engineering. Through multi-level activities such as academic salons, research cooperation, achievement transformation, internship recruitment, cultural and sports exchanges, etc., it aims to assist the development of alumni and alumni enterprises and talent cultivation. Meanwhile, the Electrical Division actively promotes the educational achievements of the alma mater and the school, relying on the School of Electrical Engineering to unite electrical alumni, carrying forward the excellent traditions of the alma mater and the school while making positive contributions to serving the alma mater and local society.
