Professor Liao Ruijin was Invited to Participate in the Commendation Activities for Advanced Collectives and Exemplary Individual in the National Education System

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 40th National Teachers' Day, a commendation ceremony was held in Beijing on September 8 to celebrate the 40th Teachers' Day and honor advanced collectives and individuals in the national education system. The event aimed to vigorously promote the spirit of educators, foster a strong social atmosphere of respecting teachers and valuing education, and inspire teachers and educators across the country to implement the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and actively contribute to building a strong educational nation. A total of 585 units and 1,790 individuals were recognized at the ceremony. Professor Liao Ruijin from our institute attended the event as a representative of the recipients of the National Teaching Achievement Award.

In 2023, the project "Construction and Practice of the 'Dual-Driven, Cross-Boundary Integration' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education System", led by Professor Liao Ruijin, was awarded the first prize in the National Teaching Achievement Awards, marking a historic breakthrough for our institute in this prestigious national recognition after two decades.

Guided by the philosophy of "innovation-driven entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship-oriented innovation", the project adopted a "One-Two-Three" implementation model to establish a distinctive innovation and entrepreneurship education system at Chongqing University. This system is built on one curriculum framework, driven by two practical models, and supported by three enabling mechanisms. The achievement has been covered over 100 times by major media outlets, including Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily, CCTV, Guangming Daily, and China Education Daily. Notably, its "product-ideation-driven, simultaneous learning and practice" approach was featured in Xinhua's Outlook Weekly, which praised it for "breaking the traditional talent cultivation mold". This success further led to the Chongqing municipal government investing 1 billion yuan to establish National Elite Institute of Engineering, Chongqing University, spanning 261 acres.
