On the morning of June 22, 2022, President Wang Shuxin went to the School of Electrical Engineering to guide the work, and had a discussion with representatives of teachers and students at the school.
Wang Shuxin first investigated the State Key Laboratory of Power Transmission Equipment & System Security and New Technology, and visited some teaching laboratories to have in-depth understanding of the construction and development of each laboratory.
During the meeting, Xie Kaigui, Dean of the school, gave a detailed report on the basic information, development situation, overall plans and goals of the school, analyzing the problems faced and key measures undertaken by the school, in aspects such as administration management, teaching staff construction, talent training, scientific research, research platforms and international communication, indicating that the School of Electrical Engineering will continue to concentrate on future development, and be determined to strive for building a world-class discipline.
After that, the teacher representatives spoke actively and offered suggestions about discipline development, teaching staff, talent training, student work and so on.
Wang Shuxin listened carefully and had an in-depth discussion and exchange on relevant issues proposed. He fully affirmed the achievements of the school in talent training, discipline construction, teaching staff, social services and other aspects in recent years, and expressed his heartfelt thanks to the efforts and contributions of all teachers, students, and alumni of the school! It is hoped that in the future development process, the School of Electrical Engineering would continue focusing on the construction of world-class discipline.
