On the afternoon of April 16, 2022, Zhang Hongcai, Assistant Professor with State Key Laboratory of Smart City Internet of Things, University of Macau, was invited to deliver a speech at the “Online Lecture Hall” on the topic of “Data-driven Nonparametric Operation of Distribution Systems with Uncertainties”. The series of online academic lectures were jointly organized by the School of Electrical Engineering of Chongqing University, the State Key Laboratory of Power Transmission Equipment and System Security, and were hosted by Associate Professor Ren Zhouyang.
Before the lecture officially started, Professor Ren extended a warm welcome to Professor Zhang’s participation in the “Online Lecture Hall” and provided a brief introduction of Professor Zhang’s research interests to the audience.
During the lecture, Professor Zhang focused on the demand of future new energy development for distribution network operation optimization, and briefly introduced some existing optimization methods, the challenges encountered in the application of various models.
During the Q&A session, Professor Zhang and the participating audience had in-depth exchanges and discussions on relevant issues. Professor Zhang encouraged students to think actively and try best in their study and research life, and he also welcomed students to come to UM for exchange and further study.
